Ghusl Janaba
We are newly married and a little confused about female physical secretions being regarded, sometimes – prior to sexual intercourse – as tahir and sometimes, after sexual intercourse, as impure – najis. Secretion may sometimes even appear without excitement.
Vaginal secretion brought about by sexual stimulation results in major ritual impurity –
janabah. As a result of this it becomes necessary for a woman to bathe her whole body – ghusl. This however does not imply that her body’s natural lubrication is impure.
If she becomes sexually excited after intercourse, one ghusl will suffice.
If, however, your wife becomes sexually aroused to the degree that she exudes vaginal fluid without intercourse, even though this is not najis, she must still perform ghusl.
